Get StartedIn the early 90’s, Glenn earned a Diploma of Audio Engineering and secured a full-time position at the local TV station. And so began his TV broadcast career.
Glenn counts the design and build for the television broadcast audio facilities for the Sydney, Athens, Torino and Beijing Olympic Games in his credits. He also worked as Senior Sound Supervisor on the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and Delhi, ATP Masters Tennis Tour in Canada and the USA, 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea and 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, as well as many other major international broadcast events.
For more than 22 years, Glenn worked in this results-driven environment where even the smallest detail is critical and it can make or break a project.
But the final eight years of travelling the world with months at a time away from his family wasn’t sustainable. In 2006 Glenn identified an emerging market in home theatre. He took the leap to start Connect Multimedia… and it was a gamble that has paid off.
Over more than 15 years, Glenn and the Connect Multimedia team have become the Sunshine Coast’s smart home automation and audio-visual installation specialists. They combine global experience and a dedication to customer satisfaction to design solutions that deliver on quality, simplicity and reliability.
My international experience taught me that you always need a back up plan,” says Glenn. “If something fails then you should be able to easily implement a solution to still deliver the service. That has always stayed with me throughout my career. What we do isn’t just running cables through a house. We are also planning and programming the home. If there is a power outage people need confidence that they will still be able to open their garage door or get access to their front door with an entry keypad. We have the skills and capability to deliver that peace of mind.
